School Bus Problems

The money we are trying to save is going to cost us dearly in a small child being lost, (taken) in the longer walks to catch a school bus. I am appaled at the lack of concern for these small children, not every one has a car or the time to wait with the child for the bus. So we save on gas in the school budget and spend it looking for the lost child with police, dogs helicopters, police cars and the entire investigations that goes on for weeks, or months even years, because we cannot fork out enough...

Rockwall's New Library is Opening Soon!

The old County library on Highway 66 closed July 19th, but the new one will be opening soon!

The ribbon cutting ceremony for the new library at 1215 East Yellowjacket will be held on Sunday, September 7th at 2:00 p.m. The public is invited. The library will be open for their first day of business on September 8th. Bring the kids out and introduce them to the wonderful world of reading - for free!

First of Many

I'm not sure if this is the right title to this. First of Many is the name we gave to the first stuffed animal my husband, then fiance, won in one of those arcade-type booths you drop a fortune in before grabbing a toy.

Today is the first day of school, once again. Except, for some reason, my husband felt a little differently dropping our 13-year old to high school on her first day. To him, dropping her off at high school had more of an emotional impact than her first day in kindergarten....

Need to relocate from NYC to Dutchess County
We are a family of four. We need to relocate to a place affordable. My husband works in Westcheter, he was told by his colleague that some parts in Dutchess County are nice to raise children. We went to see some houses in Fishskill and EastFishkill. I work in Downtown NYC, and I want to keep my job. Does anyone know which cities in Dutchess County that are close to NYC from the Metro North. How long is the commute and the price. I leave work at...
