Does anyone have any information about places to live in Florida that would be great for bringing up children?

This blog is about miscellaneous information that native Houstonians know that outsiders may not.

For example:
People who live in Houston are called [B][I][U][COLOR=blue]Houstonians[/COLOR][/U][/I][/B]. [COLOR=red][B][U]NOT[/U][/B][/COLOR][COLOR=blue] Houston-ites, Houston-ers, etc.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=black]Street names are also frequently mis-pronounced by non-natives.[/COLOR]
Kuykendahl Road is pronounced "kirk-in-doll"

I will be moving to Carrollton this Spring. I would like to know more about housing no more than 10 miles either way from Carrollton. I would really appreciate any information I could receive. :)
