New Adventure

Posted 04-02-2009 at 11:25 PM by East Coast Wanderer

I've been fully retired about a month and a half and am finding I have more free time than I had planned on.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have enough time to work and do what I want but there is free time.

I finally decided to do volunteer work and start Saturday night as an usher at the Cultural Center in town.

It'll occupy my time, I'll meet new people and will see the concerts free of charge. Can't ask for a better deal.
Can't wait to get on the road again.

What will we leave for our children when were gone

Posted 04-01-2009 at 11:07 PM by srgrimes

As I scroll through the varios threads and read What makes a city better or worse or where I can find the Perfect home or why this should be legal or not, I have to ask; When we are through tearing the guts out each city, state, this country and finally the planet, "Just What will be left for our children?" We are so busy looking "in" at what we want, we need, or we think we deserve, What are "we" doing along the way to insure there is something preserved for our children?...
