Yesterday, my husband and I made some great progress in our efforts toward mindful living, which made me very happy.

Then, he told me that OUR Mayberry was back home in WA, once this trip was done.

Life seems always to remain in balance - ups, and downs, like the waves that lull me in my '***. I suppose it's good, but my heart is heavy, right now. I had hoped, but Thich Naht Hanh teaches that hope is not a good thing, because it draws our energies away from...

Posted 08-03-2009 at 06:24 PM by olecapt

Well there are a whole lot of folks who believe that a large new wave of foreclosures is bearing down on Las Vegas.

Well not sure we believe it...but there are certainly enough people who do that it needs to be worried about.

Posted 08-03-2009 at 08:58 AM by VictorBurek

Mortgage rates moved again under 5% late last week following a successful auction of 7 year notes on Thursday and weaker than expected economic data on Friday. In what has become a consistent pattern lately, each time rates break the 5% barrier they do not remain there very long. So far this morning, things are shaping up to continue that trend. Last night, the Eurozone and China reported that manufacturing came in better than expected posting nice gains. This positive news for economic growth in...

Cash for clunkers?

In one way it might be a good idea. But why does it have to be cars newer than '92? Why not the ones that are older than? Those are the ones who suck the fuel, and pollute the air, most of the newer ones are relatively effecient.
At first I thought it would be a good idea. But after watching a couple of videos on youtube, how they drain the oil and replace with liquid glass, then rev up the rpms so high till the engine finally blows, is sickening. These are very nice cars, many very expensive,
