I'm not a moderator anymore!

Posted 08-10-2009 at 01:00 AM by SandyCo

I'm not sure how to feel about that. I resigned voluntarily; I can't log on from work (darned firewalls!), and it felt too much like "work" to monitor things from home. I'd keep forgetting to check the forum, etc. Since I wasn't doing C-D any good, I resigned.

I had been a moderator here for 2 1/2 years, and I was asked to be one after only two months, so you can imagine how weird this is! I can't even remember what the non-mod screens looked like! Well, I guess...

The blouse factory was owned and operated by Lawrence "Larry" C. Liero, Sr., better known to those around the village as "The Mayor of Effort". The son of Italian immigrants, Mr. Liero was...

Vermont in Review

We've enjoyed the scenic beauty of its rolling pastures, wooded highlands, and streaming waters. We've loved the old buildings, dams, and waterfronts. We've appreciated the street art, the storefronts, and it's definitely a book lover's paradise!

What has confused us is the people. Admittedly, we've noticed since Virginia that as we move north the public reception has gone from the Southern smiling greeting: "Hi, how're ya?" to a reserved nod, and in Maine the nod's disappeared...

Auf Wiedersehen

Posted 08-08-2009 at 09:33 PM by mams1559

Literally, this blog title means "until we meet again" or "good-bye for the present time". I find that most fitting for what I'm announcing here.

You know, I came to CD Forum green and naive as regards the acceptance and understanding of Christianity. I came here with a limited scope as compared to the vast differences that plague the Body of Christ. I thought everyone at least believed in Christ as a person and truly the only issue was whether one accepted him...

God's continuing provision for my needs!!

Just wanted to post a quick note on God's continuing provision for my needs.

First a little background. My one consistent and ongoing computer programming client who has had me doing work for him for the last couple of months went out of town toward the tail end of last month and has been gone out of town again this past week. Such that further work from him has been delayed substantially.

He has more work and has said so (and there is no reason to doubt this as he...
