Mortgage rates continue to hold steady as mortgage backed securities stay confined to a range. The economic data yesterday came in pretty much as expected so had no impact on the trading. The Treasury Department had a very successful auction of 7 year notes which saw above average demand, but even that could not push MBS out of the current range. With the stock market continuing to move higher, MBS will find it very difficult to move any higher in price which would lead to lower mortgage rates....
