We've taken a site in an RV park outside Bremen, IN that must've once been a large farm. Being Labor Day weekend, it's full and there are kids everywhere. Everybody LOVES Bigun, and though he was a little tired and skittish yesterday, today he's ready to PLAY!

There are four young girls in nearby trailers, probably ages 6 to 11 years. The younger ones spotted him first, but it didn't take long for the older sisters to catch the action. He loved the attention. I just smiled as he wiggled...

I watch the rain as it sways
in gusts,
like the curtains on the window.
Damp is everywhere,
it's September
and autumn is trying to get in.
The occasional walker scurries past,
bundled green and yellow head to toe,
a sheepdog darting to and fro.
Sweet smoke trails from the chimney,
making this old cottage look like a locomotive
steaming along at a good clip.
