Newcomer to USA

Posted 09-17-2009 at 01:54 AM by Mick English

I have recently accepted a Regional Sales Manager's role based in SW Charlotte and need to buy a place within 40 mins or so travel.
Trouble is, I currently live in UK!
Just myself and my wife (mid 40s) will be settling in the USA and we like it quiet although as we will be trying to get to know people we do not want too remote.
We will be moving over permanently in Feb 2010 but coming for a week or so in Dec 2009 for a looksee.
All constructive suggestions of where to look...

A Crossroads ... A Milestone ... Part 2

Posted 09-16-2009 at 09:35 PM by mams1559

You know, God's timing is perfect. Here I was full of anxiety and worry about my present life situation. I felt as though I needed an answer now, that I had to act now. That if I didn't make a choice, make a decision, do something, anything, that I would actually be allowing a mistake to happen or be allowing a major disruption to occur.

Once again, as I look backwards, I was relying on me and not on God. Haven't I learned that lesson yet? Apparently I needed a refresher. All the while...

Posted 09-16-2009 at 09:14 PM by shygurlnyc

Disclaimer: my name is the total opposite of who I am.. Lol. Enjoy.

I’ve been considering relocating to the Maryland or Metro DC area. I have a few family members and friends in the area but I would like to know more about the area from others.
More about me:
Single and loving it….
I’m a workout junkie, love going out running and I love my body over anything else.
I’m a foodie and I really do enjoying going out for drinks after work. ...

Why I’m NOT Going to Sell Your Home

Posted 09-16-2009 at 08:24 PM by GregTraub

That’s right Mr. Seller, I am NOT going to sell your home….seriously! Heck legally I can’t sell your home, you own it, I can’t sell something I don’t own! But in reality, the statistics show that the agent you hire has about a 5% or less chance (depending on price range and location of your house) they will sell your home without a buyer agent on the other end. I hear a lot of people complain about their agent that “they NEVER show my house!” but if your agent took the time to explain the best...

Mortgage Rates Continue to Hold Under 5%

Posted 09-16-2009 at 09:01 AM by VictorBurek

Mortgage backed securities open to the downside yesterday following much better than expected economic data. Retail sales posted large gains which would typically lead to a rally in stocks and a selloff of fixed income investments. Well, as the day progressed MBS managed to move off the lows of the morning and ended up closing where they opened. A few lenders did reprice for the better as the improvement in price of MBS held through close.

This morning the Mortgage Bankers’ Association...
