Anna Maria Island Real Estate

Posted 12-08-2009 at 11:02 AM by SoFLGal

Anna Maria is a very laid back sleepy beach town and is one of the few towns that still has the "Old Florida" feel to it. I used to live out that way when I was a kid and my father started the Islander Newspaper, which was the first newspaper for Anna Maria Island. As a kid I attended Anna Maria Elementary and have fond memories of the school.

Palmer Ranch one of Sarasota's most popular and largest master planned communities with over 10,000 acres. Palmer Ranch actually consists of many neighborhoods, all individually operated under their own HOA. The common areas of Palmer Ranch are maintained by a master association. The overall look and feel of PR is "green" - the roads are grass and treelined, the sidewalks wind throughout the entire community, and they have recently been able to add the Legacy Trail to the many great aspects....

Lookin’ for Good Ole Florida Food?

Posted 12-08-2009 at 10:57 AM by SoFLGal

Well, Yoder's on Bahia Vista always has a good home cooked meal. It's Amish food and just about everything is great.

Now if you're really lookin' for some good ole Florida food you might want to hit the Pioneer Day Festival in Sarasota. Earl Blackburn's family were some of the original settlers in Florida and he and his family cook up a mean swamp cabbage at some of the local festivals.
