So I've been missing huh? No entries in quite a while. Well I've been a bit busy around here this year. We bought a home in this sleepy small town - a fixer-upper that is, and it was mid-way through a renovation when we took it over. Project after project after project; a never ending cycle. It does wear on you.

Though the move was but a few blocks in measure, we're now "in the city" as opposed to on the fringe or the edge. Not much has changed except for the cast of...

Mortgage Rates Prepare for Busy Week of Data

Despite a much better than expected initial reading on fourth quarter GDP(consensus was 4.5%, actual 5.7%), last week ended with mortgage backed securities closing near the best levels of the month. It appears market participants thought the vastly better reading on GDP is destined to be revised lower over the next couple months when we receive the revised and final number.
