Mortgage Rates Hold onto Gains, Locking

The panic driven gains seen in bonds over the debt crisis in Europe, subsided somewhat yesterday. Following a higher opening for mortgage backed securities, lenders offered close to the best rate sheets we have seen this year. As the day progressed, both benchmark treasuries and MBS moved sideways closing near opening levels. All lenders left rate sheets unchanged on the day.

My favorite time of the year

For the record, I find them all to be good seasons and months, some though I just like better than others. For me, my favorite times of the year are March-June. Why? well for one, school's wrapping up and there's of course spring break, March Madness, NBA/NHL playoffs, shedding the winter clothes and changing into lighter clothes, seeing nature come out of hibernation, the trees blooming (although the pollen is usually not kind to me), Easter(great holiday), spring showers, and other stuff....

Real Estate is a challenging career...

It's impossible to know how challenging someones's work is unless you do it and though I've only had a few jobs, I have to be honest, real estate is the hardest work I've ever done. I've worked on a farm, shoveled mountains of sawdust and chipped glue from glue tower at a plywood plant, heat-sealed thousands of IV bags a day, collected bad loans including being shot at, and logged hundreds of payments an hour in an accounting position. In the end, nothing has been as hard as real estate.
