One of the things that is uniquely difficult for me is my relationship as a grad student with my parents. Unlike most of my peers, it isn't a situation where my parents do not get me because they have no conception of life in graduate school. Quite the opposite, really. My parents BOTH got their PhD's in the hard sciences. Growing up it was bad, because I was expected to score perfectly on any test or quiz (no matter what subject) or else I wasn't living up to my potential. It didn't...

Am I applicable for Emancipation?

I am looking for someone with REAL knowledge of the laws of emancipation for minors in Washington state. Would prefer someone with some experience advocacy or other fields of law.

Mortgage Rates Start Week Improved

I hope everyone had a great extended weekend, but it is time to get back to work.

Last week ended on a positive note for mortgage rate watches as the fixed income sector benefitted from a weak stock market. As stocks moved lower on Friday, money flowed into the fixed income sector allowing some lenders to offer better pricing by day’s end. As is common before a long weekend, lenders were conservative on passing along better pricing but we should see better rate sheets this morning....
