Its been a couple of fun filled days since I last posted...

My Son and I drove to Kent State University (Actually, the City of Kent, but thats an easy reference point). Every time I drove up or back, he would always fall asleep! Yesterday and today were a complete waste. After not sleeping much Monday night, I spent the majority of Tuesday in an exhausted haze. Plus, the dog hadn't improved, so after taking care of a couple of things, I brought her back to the vet, for 3 hours. A different vet saw her and noticed that she wheezed while breathing. Mortgage rates started the day yesterday holding steady near the best levels of 2010 despite the stock market opening much higher. Usually, when stocks move higher, the fixed income sector moves lower as market participants reallocate money from low risk, low yield bonds into higher risk, higher yielding stocks. In the dream, I'm awakened by a loud sound sort of like a bomb going off or the lightening bolt that hit the MUSC offices next door a few weeks ago. As I'm sitting up I realize that the silence is deafening...there's none of the normal "house sounds" to indicate that the power is still on.
