The sun was hot and the air was sticky with humidity when I found the ghastly remains. Haphazardly buried in what looked to be a hurry, it was a shock to me that I hadn't seen them before. Due to the fertilizer I had put down, the grass in my backyard had been growing exceedingly fast. I suppose that whoever did it had temporarily lucked out because the grass seemed to cover so much of the remains already.
