Stock Gains Pressure Consumer Borrowing Costs Higher

Mortgage rates came under pressure yesterday as gains in the stock market pulled money away from the fixed income sector. The lone economic report, which showed home builders’ confidence falling post government support, couldn’t keep mortgage backed securities from moving lower in price. As MBS price fell, lenders were forced to reprice for the worse increasing consumer borrowing costs by .25 in discount.

Endings and Beginnings

We didn't realize we'd be in PDT so soon, but as we crossed the ID border we were welcomed to the Pacific Time Zone at the same time. It was nice to see this sign of home.

We also returned to non-roaming status in our cellphone coverage, and I can actually pick up my voice mail messages, again! Yea!!!

Once we "landed" in the RV park, I discovered that my invitation for my second (final?) interview was received, to sit before the panel and answer their questions....

Fly Away!

Doris went home yesterday, on American Airlines..(She even has an American Airlines shirt that she wears every time she flies with them, and they are always asking her where she got it...My Wife found it in a garage sale for her).

Its a shame she didnt get to do everything that she wanted to do, but, with my Wife having obligations to Vacation Bible School, it cut into her time and limited her activities during that week.

The Costa Mesa Community Gardens are a beautiful place to explore on a nice day. The City of Costa Mesa has 2 community gardens:
1. Del Mar Community Garden – 170 Del Mar St. has 60 plots.
2. Hamilton Community Garden – 523 Hamilton St. has 42 plots.
