It's ironic that I am listening to this audiobook, published the year we departed on our own discover of America, as we end the trip.

I considered if I should rate the books I read, and decided I would either recommend, or not. This is definitely a book worth recommending.

Almost Full Circle

This afternoon, we pulled into Cle Elum's Whispering Pines RV Park. In twenty-three months, it's the first we've come to that was not new to us. Less than 80 miles from our home, we've used it often as a "jumping off point" either coming or going on shorter travels.

As we drove over one of the many crests on I-90W, I looked up and saw Mt. Rainier. Spirit mountain, to the local Native Americans. An old friend.

I won't spring into song about being good to be back...

Monday night, I got the most curious email from my adviser. It said: "When do you want to meet? We need to discuss how things are going and where you want to be in the near future. What jobs are you thinking of and how can we get you best prepared for those?" It was like my adviser just woke up Monday evening and decided... "wait, I just realized that I should be advising her." I didn't know how to say "I'm refusing to think about jobs in the near future until I know...
