Mortgage Rates Rise As Stocks Rally

Posted 08-19-2010 at 09:15 AM by VictorBurek

Mortgage rates extended their losses yesterday as market participants favored stocks over the safety of bonds. Most lenders did reprice for the worse as mortgage backed securities steadily moved lower throughout the day. In total over the last couple days, lender pricing has worsened by .50 in discount. This means if a rate was costing 0 points on Monday, it was costing .50 points yesterday. Despite the set back, mortgage rates continue to hold at very aggressive levels.

Can your mind wander 27 different directions all at the same time?

Posted 08-18-2010 at 08:17 PM by CSD610

Not feeling 100%, I made up the excuse of illness to explain to my adviser why my surgery hadn't happened and why I still couldn't meet with him. I set aside time to take care of myself. Voting is a Responsibility AND a Priviledge

Posted 08-18-2010 at 10:16 AM by LookinForMayberry

I just discovered that my DH didn't vote in yesterday's primary. I am trying to remember that my choices are not others' and I cannot dictate others' actions. In this case, with someone so dear to me, I am struggling.

In my family, civic responsibility includes voting, paying my taxes, and helping those in need. I am appalled whenever I see the voter turnouts are so tiny. Where are all the flag wavers on election day?

DH's excuse was that his "head wasn't in it."...
