I've been back to work for four weeks, now, and last weekend was the first that I actually had time to relax. I had things to do, but nothing that absolutely HAD TO BE DONE. It was so nice to take my time and do things as I felt like it.

It made me think about all the people that go from demanding home lives to demanding work, and then go home to more demands. That made me think of the volunteering I wanted to do, and still haven't figured out how to fit that into the time that remains....

Mortgage rates ended last week on a two day losing streak. The best rates of the week were seen on Wednesday following the release of the FOMC statement. On Friday, mortgage backed securities touched the bottom end of the range which we have used to make lock/float recommendations following the strategy of lock the price highs, float the lows. George has been a diabetic since his kidney transplant about eight years ago. Before that, he had heart bypass surgery and in the last couple of years he has had eye surgery twice, sprained his ankle badly, and contracted the shingles on his face and head. About every three months he has skin cancers removed from his body. George is about 5’ 9” and weighs about 240 pounds. He will be 70 years on the earth this year. It's one thing to go out to a Chinese restaurant and go through the buffet line and get about 25 things to eat and savor. It's another when the waiter or waitress drops off a little item wrapped in a small transparent wrapper. What is it about that little item?
