Borrowing Costs Improve as Market Awaits Fed Decision

Mortgage rates modestly improved yesterday as an oversold bond market received investor money. The day began with mortgage rates extending their losing streak to four days, but around the noon hour the bond market improved and continued through close. Most lenders did reprice for the better passing along some of the price gains.

Belleair Intracoastal Waterfront

I was boating Friday night to Island Way Grill for dinner and noticed that construction is inceasing on the Belleair waterfront. I haven't seen that in a couple of years. This is promising as they are knocking down some of the older homes and building luxury homes. This goes to show that the smart money knows that it is time to buy and build. ]

Always Here, Always the Same

Sunday, DH and I went to a local craft store's sale on silk flowers, deciding it would be an inexpensive means to bring some color into our nearly monochromatic living room. Normally, we are challenged by collaboration, because we are two independent, willful "captains" of our respective "ships." Somehow, we managed to keep on course, and selected two attractive bunches, a couple of nice containers, and take a position in the lengthy checkout line.

Housing Data Dominates in the Week Ahead

Mortgage rates ended last week on another 3 day losing streak. Some lenders did reprice for the worse as the bond market remained under pressure the entire day. Mortgage backed securities found stable ground at the bottom of the recent range we have used to make lock/float decisions. Our range will be tested today.

We have no economic data on the calendar for today.

The data picks up tomorrow with a look into the shaky housing market with the release of the Housing...

how do you feel about the tall buildings in your sity

I always feel mixed in shanghai, so many tall buldings ,luxury exclusive stores, anything is made of concret ,steel, glass.people passing by quickly without any expression.

maybe small town is better for me.
