Flight To Safety Continues, Mortgage Rates Rally

Mortgage backed securities rallied yesterday as stocks around the globe sold off as investors sought the relative safety of U.S. Treasuries and MBS. Continued fears of further conflict between North and South Korea and debt concerns across Europe are the cause of the “flight to safety”. MBS managed decent price gains yesterday but only 1 lender repriced for the better. Lenders are very slow to pass along price improvements but very quick to take away. WOW, its been 10 days since I last exercised...sheesh!
Wife called for me to get up this morning, but, since I went to bed at 3am, I decided to get a few more zzz's....

I got up and I still have a pain in my posterior, (where I came down on the steel foot rests on the machine I was vacating, with my tail bone, so its gonna take months for me to mend), and if it wasnt for pain meds, I would be hurting more They keep the pain to a minimum, while helping the ol spine out...

I hope everyone had a safe and fun Thanksgiving Holiday break.

We have no economic data on the calendar for today but we do have some high impacting reports coming later this week.

Tuesday brings us three releases with Consumer Confidence for November being the most potentially impactful. An optimistic consumer is more likely to spend money which benefits corporate profits and stocks; while a pessimistic consumer is more likely to save or pay off debt which benefits...
