No pension--Dad lost all he worked for at the steel mill. After nearly 38 years of service, the government take over of the pension plan told him "Too bad.." and stopped writing monthly checks for $1500 and in turn sent $125.00 a month...

Sunday School - December 12, 2010

Posted 12-11-2010 at 04:44 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

Sunday School

Affirmation: I boldly declare that my tongue is under the control of the Holy Spirit. My words are seasoned with grace, and my lips are constantly giving thanks.

One can believe in God with a very complete set of arguments, yet not have any faith that makes a difference in living.- Georgia Harkness

God creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join Him in the work he does, the good work He has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing....

The market since the tax credit expired has been pretty crazy....I don't mean crazy busy, cause it has been really slow. I just mean that everything seems to be backwards from the way it has always been. For example, Lexington has always been really strong in the $120-180k range. Right now that market is dead. Also, when the market first slowed down in 2006, it was hard to sell anything over $300k. Right now, the $300k to $500k range is about the only one that hasn't seen a huge drop in the...

Posted 12-11-2010 at 11:38 AM by woodworkingmenace (History)

My Daughter is celebrating her 18th Birthday today! You know, I got up this morning, like any other morning, and was tuning the AM radio, and just happen to come upon one of those oldies channels...and they were playing X-mas music...and then it just hit me..

'Hey, it's X-mas time'....

But aside from that, I just don't feel it anymore...probablly do to the way my life is configured....

And I'm one who use to really love...
