Doctor

Posted 01-13-2011 at 04:49 PM by woodworkingmenace (History)

Today I went to my Heart Doctor... Why I say Heart Doctor I dont know, because it seems I always get the 'Nurse Practitioner' looking at me. But, I dont really mind, because I can 'understand' her, the Doctor is a foreigner (wears a turban), and I have a terrible time understanding him! Thing is, if I dont have the Nurse Practitioner to translate for me-->I dont hear so well anyways, and some one with an accent, well, I simply dont understand them at all!!
Well, I got a 'go for it'...

Strong Auction Helps Mortgage Rates

Posted 01-13-2011 at 08:52 AM by VictorBurek

Mortgage backed securities opened lower yesterday forcing lenders to increase consumer borrowing costs from the prior day. The trading action was rather boring with MBS move sideways in an extremely tight range until 1pm. At that time, the Department of Treasury released the results of the 10 year treasury auction which drew very strong demand. As a result, MBS started to rally and lenders reissued rate sheets lowering consumer borrowing costs.

The data picks up today with 3...

A Sticky Subject: When Bad Adhesive Becomes Too Much

Posted 01-12-2011 at 06:53 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

Talk about relatively pointless. All I needed was one new ice scraper from the local auto parts dealer. And that's what I got: one stainless-steel ice scraper to replace the plastic one I've had for years. Sounds all fine and good............until it came time to unwrap said scraper in order to put in the glove compartment.

You see, there was a paper sticker surrounding the sharp edge of this new ice scraper when I purchased the product. Understandable....

Hospice Almost Killed My Father Who Was Not Terminal!

Posted 01-12-2011 at 03:38 PM by ctmaryb
Updated 01-12-2011 at 04:05 PM by ctmaryb (Forgot to block the name of Dr's and Nurses)

The Following letter I sent to Hospice in Sept 2010 about admitting my father with no certification of Terminal illness. Hospice has done an internal investigation and doesn't know how my father got into Hospice. It has now been 8 Months since my father went to Hospice. My father is home with my mother and is still in active Chemo treatment. He now uses a cane to walk.

I don’t even know where to begin this letter. The unfortunate mistakes that were made almost cost my father...

Treasuries Lead Mortgage Rates Higher

Posted 01-12-2011 at 08:38 AM by VictorBurek

Consumer borrowing costs increased yesterday. The Department of Treasury offered $32billion of 3 year notes but the demand was lack luster falling short of the recent 12 month average. This, plus the fact that more debt is coming today and tomorrow, continued to pressure treasury yields higher which forced mortgage backed security prices lower and mortgage rates higher. All lenders did reprice for the worse. At the open this morning, the downward trend continued which will force lenders to worsen...
