Yesterday I was working at my computer in my cubicle when I sensed the presence of someone standing at a nearby staircase. I glanced over to see my coworker from Inside Sales standing with tears in her eyes, staring at nothing. I asked if she needed to go for a walk, and she just nodded. We went outside.

As we walked, she described a woman's hateful treatment of her on the phone. No matter what my coworker does to try to please her, the woman has a sneering, hateful comment to deride...

Have you ever wondered why we seem to do things the hard way, when the easier way is so much better. No matter how hard I try to save money, it seems others are still set in doing things in a wasteful way. Try to set appointments so you can save on gas. Like pulling teeth. On the up side things will always work out. Stay flexible and upbeat. I got a bill today that was over $2000. I calmly called the office and left a message. Was not sure how I was going to pay for it. They called back and hour...

The story is that my mother and I parted ways (emotionally) before she delivered me, on May 9, 1956 at 5:30 AM. She'd arranged for my adoption through her doctor, and four days after my birth she walked into the court house in Hastings, Michigan and signed the documents. As far as I know, she never looked back.

Well I hear the rest of the country is hot. Come here. We have so much rain more then is normal this time of year and we have some very high rivers. On the up side the tent is dry inside and no excess water seeping in. Cooking outside not as pleasant, but a challenge is always fun. Nights are less cold but bed is very warm. Got to barbecue my first fresh caught trout of the year. But we got rained out for smores. All in all not bad. Oh wait here comes the thunder again. Fortunetly I am not plugged...
