Money and Children

My regular reader and critic, has warned me that my articles have correct opinions, that are useful but seem quite preachy and that it would be better if I gave examples, not ready-made conclusions.
The critic is my daughter and since I trust the most the opinion of my children, I accepted the criticism appropriate, so I am going to give you example on the subject, and you can make your own conclusion.
Serbia was a dark place in 1995. The country was under embargo, the day-to-day life...

Friday The 13th All Over Again

Guess what we've got today worldwide? Another Friday the 13th, and the first one in Baby New Year 2012. To a lot of people, this type of day means gloom, doom, and just plain bad luck. Now, I'm not going to panic, as I've never had too many bad days on this particular day that I can recall. So far, things in my life are fine, and at this writing, I have only been up for two and a half hours.

It should be said that Friday the 13th will actually occur...

Kling bam boom!

I lay here on the couch last night after already having showered. Just all cuddled up on the couch and watching some television. I hear a noise from the shower that sounds strangely familiar.

An empty Bath and Body Works shower gel bottle. It sounds like none other as it has been emptied and its the bottom of the bath tub. mmhmm.

I have to laugh because he is using my stuff... I have been coming out of the shower with the ever so slight hint of HIS body wash....BECAUSE...

The Founders of Tampa migrated largely from Central and North Florida, Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina.

Lesley Family, Captain John Lesley removed from Madison County, Florida and settled in Tampa in 1835. Lesley was Captain of Company K. of the Fourth Confederate Florida Infantry.

James McKay Family removed from Mobile, Alabama and settled in Tampa in 1846.

The Thomas Mitchell Family migrated from Alabama to settle in Tampa in 1846.

Encouraging News For Rain Fans In Texas

That's right, I said rain fans. That's the group of people who happen to be sick and tired of drought conditions and want to see serious relief. And especially those of us in the Lone Star State who'd like to see said drought just disappear through the cracks, as it were, and for our lake levels to get back to near-normal amounts.

Aren't you glad the Farmers' Almanac is online? Boy, I am. And contained within is the most encouraging news I've read regarding...
