Are Houses Selling in Houston?
With the uncertainty in today's economy, home sellers are wondering if the houses are selling in the Houston area.
I would like to tell you that the Houston Market is strong and not like the east and west coasts. Home prices might have dropped in some areas because of foreclosures and short sales but we are talking about 10-15% of the whole real estate market in Houston.

Here are the homes sold sorted by price range in the Houston Area...

Treasuries and mortgages starting a little weaker this morning after the drop in prices yesterday afternoon when the stock indexes rallied off the lows seen yesterday morning. The DJIA traded down 200+ points yesterday morning, but cut the loss by half at the close to -101. The rate markets do what they do, when stock indexes improve it takes yields a little higher. Just when the end of the world (as I saw it) ate up my life two years ago when Clear Channel Communications turned KVET-FM upside down because Tom Allen didn't want his "Country Gold Show" changed to cut out anything recorded before 1970, I had previously thought there was no hope when said program left the air for good. That is, until I just read something off of Mike McGuff's radio/television blog out of Houston. You won't believe the link I've found to get to this great news....

Words Gotten Out

In the past several months, as we walk along with Bigun, invariably getting the question: "He's so cute, is he a puppy?" we've explained: "No, he's three. He just thinks he's a puppy."

The other day Big' and I were walking home from a session of ChuckIt at the park, when a stanger in an Element drove up and stopped in the street. He calls out: "Is that the three year old puppy?"

It took me a few beats to realize he hadn't asked...
