The Long Trek Home

Posted 08-21-2012 at 08:06 AM by LookinForMayberry

Yesterday morning was overcast and cooler than the previous week (of 90s and 80s), so I decided to walk some paperwork down the hill to Edward Jones, rather than drive. Big Finn Hill is roughly 500' where our home is located, and their office is at sea level. Taking the "scenic" route through the neighborhoods (instead of Juanita Drive's direct route) is just short of three miles. Bigun needed his walk, so he joined me.

Posted 08-20-2012 at 08:00 AM by LookinForMayberry

I could do this! Texas, here I come.....Well, not so much.

Tulsa Oklahoma. Population 400,000. For some reason the...

The Beginning and the Middle

Posted 08-19-2012 at 01:51 PM by AlainaM

June 23rd, 2012 was one of the happiest days of my life, besides my son being born. My boyfriend of alomst 2 years popped the question in front of family and friends. We have been talking about marriage for some time now but knew the road to marriage would be a complicated and rocky one. He was transfered to Dallas from Ohio. That is when the relationship ended. Never being in a long distance relationship we both figured it wouldnt work but shortly after halloween we both came to our senses and...

Astros' Enlightenment: The RedHawks Are Winning Now

Posted 08-18-2012 at 07:59 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

The Houston Astros need good news. They need lots of good news because the big-league club has not played good baseball (well, not much of it, anyway) since April and May. You can say that there's a light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. And said light takes up residence 443 miles away in a little Triple-A ballpark north of the Red River.

Behold this: The Oklahoma City RedHawks have a winning record in the Pacific Coast League, at 66-60, and may well be vying for...
