Posted 11-07-2012 at 07:57 AM by linicx (I wish i could always see)

The hotly contested American presidential election is now a snapshot in time. The future seems certain.

Four years ago the new House Speaker, John Boehner told the world the Republican controlled House would not cooperate with the new President. And true to party politics they did not; Congress was gridlocked for four years of the worst recession since the 1920s. .

The day after the election the House Speaker said the same thing.

Nothing will change...

Case's Weight Management......Um, Roller Coaster

Posted 11-06-2012 at 04:10 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

Do you think it's time for your favorite blogger to break his silence on something? Actually, it's really not that much of a secret, but it's also something I'd hate to admit. I can lie and say that I've got this great-looking, Fabio-haired, romance-novel body that would make many ladies' toes curl.

Well, I hope you like really short-cut, buzz-haired guys instead. I always thought women liked men with shorter hair and have been told that many times in the...

It wouldn't have mattered when I'd be writing this sometime in the last four years, but it might as well be right now. And when things in America get chaotic and out of control to the point where you can't even trust anything that moves or breathes, well, you've got to take action. For lots of folks, that action is taking place right now at your nearby voting precinct.

This is a pivotal day for the United (some would say Divided??) States of America. What we've...

Osteoarthritis in Lumbar Spine, and Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction

Posted 11-06-2012 at 08:07 AM by LookinForMayberry

Yesterday I finally got the results of my x-rays and learned that I have degenerative arthritis in my spine and SI joint. Not what I would call good news, but good in that it isn't something terminal, and I've got a good chance at managing the pain. At least I hope so.

I've suffered through the low back, hip, and thigh pain associated with this situation for a very, very long time and it is nice to finally be able to put a name to it. Apparently I need to get back into a gentle exercise...

How to make an offer on a House? How Low Can You Offer?

Posted 11-05-2012 at 08:51 PM by HoustonPharaoh

Everybody wants to get a good deal which is normal and understandable. BUT there is a difference between making an offer and insulting the seller.
The market in Houston is different than the rest of the country and it is way better than the national averages that they talk about on the news. We don’t have the 30-40 cents on the dollar type of deals. Let me rephrase that, we have them but very very very few and most probably...
