Hello, I will be moving from the Mid-West in May 2013. I'm looking to move to Georgia but, not in the heart of Atlanta because of the things that I heard. My question will be is Atlanta suitable for a single parent with a daughter that will be starting H.S.?

Are there any jobs outside of Atlanta?
How is the neighborhoods?
I actually want to live in a community that has a little urban feel because of the community where I'm coming from didn't have anything to do with Urban...

My buddy and I moved to MO almost a year ago now... 8 months ago, I suppose. i was surprised, thought my friends & I, wud have good time going to the Governor's Malloy's mansion, but it was rather boring & stressful.
people visitin kinda friendly, but staff & security guards at the mansion gave us such dirty looks.
thought they'd offer coffee, or cider or donuts or cookies but all they gave folks was a postcard with mincemeat recipe!
man..governor was friendlier to foreigners at his mansion, than the state residents too.
