Texas weather does get a little funny now and then. In many cases, it can be downright crazy and downright unpredictable. But there are going to be those times when meteorologists and Mother Nature tend to play with your emotions. I had gone to work prepared like a lot of other folks did. The forecast did call for a 100 percent chance of thunderstorms. That would be rain, thunder, lightning, gusty winds, and maybe some small hail.

Family Relocating to Denver

I know there are a lot of posts on here from people looking for advice on moving to Denver but I am going to have to add one more! We are a family of five that will be relocating to the Denver area from Pennsylvania in June. We have made two trips out to tour the area, look at homes and schools etc. We have 3 children ages 15, 11 and 7. I would welcome any feedback on the best family friendly areas of the greater Denver area. From our own searching we are currently interested in Parker, SE...

SAR (Sarasota Association of Realtors) released statistics today (2-21-13) which represent sales and listings by SAR members and includes some listings in Manatee, Englewood, Venice, North Port, and other areas. Should North Port leave Sarasota County?

Back in 1959, the City began life as "North Port Charlotte". It was the northern, or Sarasota County portion, of Port Charlotte. In 1974, the people who lived here at the time voted to drop the "Charlotte", and rename the City as simply "North Port".

For decades, North Port was the red-headed stepchild of Sarasota County, abused at worst, ignored or forgotten at best, but always disregarded. In 2000, at the time of the previous census, only 22,000 people...
