Posted 04-30-2013 at 10:19 AM by snowduck

Acts 2:46-47 - Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.- Going to church in those days must have been very different than today. Harry Truman was the first US President I was aware of; the McCarthy hearings was my first introduction to Senate wrangling. Sadly over the years, I failed to find many members of congress, who were not racist, that were of good character. Little has changed in 60 years. Most have less morals than a slug, and even fewer love America.

Recently is was nice to revisit a place nostalgically called yesteryear when a man was willing to die for his country and defend his wife.
