Stand up!

Posted 11-12-2013 at 01:10 AM by djsweetie

Stop letting the Government F**K you. Or do you like it? You must, cause so many of you lay there and take it like a little b**ch.
Do you vote?
Did you graduate high school?
Owe the courts money for stupid s**t? Unemployed?
Is your Dr. whatever doctor that's in the emergency room when you go?
Do you know who FICA is and why they get most of your paycheck?
Do you know where your tax dollars go?
Do you know how much money the county workers get...

Time to rethink

Posted 11-11-2013 at 06:12 PM by Fortoggie

If you grew up, as I did being told that everything that happens is either caused by God or at least is allowed by God; then you might want to read, " The Doors of the Sea: Where was God in the Tsunami?" by David B. Hart. Prof. Hart is considered by many to be on par with, C.S. Lewis in his in depth theology. Even to look up the book on Amazon and read the reviews would be helpful.
Of course the same question, comes up when we think of the typhoon that just hit the Philippines....

Small Craft Advisories in Florida - Waves Boat Club - Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, etc.

Updated 11-11-2013 at 11:23 AM by Waves Boat Club

We are questioned very often as to how we deal with small craft advisories. We just had a few days last week of advisories whereby we didn't allow boats out during these periods. We were questioned "but it looks nice out?" - of course these are members that had plans to go out boats and unfortunately, they had to cancel. It is a very hard decision to stand by however, we feel but it is for the right reason.
Here is our recommendation.
As per NOAA:"A small craft advisory...

Okay, so the story was released last winter, but this is still very good news for travelers in South Texas. First, this link to give you an idea.

Official: Falfurrias bypass likely won’t be tolled - Brownsville Herald: Valley

No portion of Interstate 69 or its components need to be tolled at all. Falfurrias residents and anyone region-wide will enjoy the benefits of a new stretch of recently-completed freeway. In past years, city officials had been worried...
