Merry Christmas

Posted 12-24-2013 at 08:28 AM by grumptacular
Updated 12-24-2013 at 09:25 AM by grumptacular

So then I decided to go through and just write the names of everyone who had written something that touched me in some way. But the list kept growing.

That list is now up to 86 people and I started to feel that I was boxing myself in to a position where now...

Christmas Time Once Again In The World

Posted 12-23-2013 at 08:12 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

Hard to believe that that time is almost here again. It's Christmas time here in North Texas, as well as around the world. The workload will be a little less, but it's what comes after work that I look forward to. Mom and I will be at her place Christmas Eve night for dinner and the opening of gifts. Wednesday (Christmas) after work, I'll be heading to my uncle's place for a little food and visitation with my many cousins and their relatives.

And so it is with many...

Here in the South

Posted 12-23-2013 at 01:54 PM by Fortoggie

Life can be boring here in the south. A sneeze was the only interruption of silence, the main sensation of the day. Thinking of organizing a yawning party for news years eve. If not then just a trip to Walmart. Happy New Year !

Posted 12-23-2013 at 06:23 AM by Fortoggie

The economy is set to go, according to many economists as we come to the end of 2013. All year the two Interstate Highways near my home has been packed with semi's loaded to the gills with merchandise. Banks are loaning again and the big companies of America have over 10 trillion dollars in reserve just looking for a place to use it.
How will that help me; you may ask. Let's face it,all that money and prosperity may not filter down to you and your family unless you do some of the smartest...

Unsure of retirement communities

Posted 12-23-2013 at 04:54 AM by tinsel12

Any advice on which 55+ community is better for an active newly retired couple from the northeast? We like Lake Ashton and Valencia Lake but find the prices of homes at Legacy in Leesburg better. Its very open and you get more for your money. Just not sure what Leesburg has to offer compared to the others I mentioned. Any suggestions of other communities. We love to eat out, the arts, outdoor walks, and safe places to browse . Thanks
