And just like that I've got a new job. Someone I've known for decades lives in Cincinnati Ohio. They are willing to open a bakery if I agree to run it. Crazy. Offered profit sharing and moving expenses! I told her I have to sell my houses down here first but I should be able to relocate by end of summer.

I know nothing about baking! Not that it matters. She just needs someone to run the operations and that is something, with my experience, that shouldn't be a problem. She...

Sunday ~~ January 5, 2014 ~~ How are those resolutions going?

Posted 01-05-2014 at 08:35 PM by CSD610

This is the first day of the first full week of the official new year so, how are those resolutions going? Are you still 'behaving' or have you fallen off the turnip truck already? Since I don't make resolutions I'm still on the truck and getting those turnips ready to be put into a smoothie or mushed together with potatoes and cauliflower with butter, sour cream, garlic and pepper. If you are resolutioning it I wish you continued success, if not there is always next year.

So, on...

Would it help if your church, your pastor took a stand?

Posted 01-04-2014 at 06:32 PM by Fortoggie

Question: Should your pastor take a position on the use of marijuana? In this week's S. S. lesson, Jesus is freeing up his disciples to eat and walk on the sabbath and runs into opposition. Your pastor probably shouldn't raise the subject unless he is ready for a firestorm. Also unless he has done thorough
research and maybe been to prisons where so many are held in violation of current laws. However the issue cannot be avoided much longer. Deacon boards and other church leaders should probably...

Wow! What a crazy game!! Chiefs choke a huge lead, despite Luck of the Colts throwing 3 interceptions!

Saints and Eagles: Another down to the wire game!! Granted that wasn't the outcome I was hoping for, but none the less, fierce competition!

Bengals and Chargers, what a shame. I thought Bengals would have brought more game. Dalton had three turn overs which gave great field position for a lack luster Charger offense.

Whhhooooooooo!! Packer/49ers:...

I wish I had a camera. I likely wouldn't carry it, since it would most certainly get broken, but there are times when I come across something that is really photogenic. I have an aquarium in my yard that has some water plants in it. This morning the water has frozen solid and the crystals against the glass look beautiful. A few weeks ago I had at least a hundred little finches that settled on a pu88y willow in my yard. They made a crazy musical racket as well, but it still would have been a...
