Basically, I posted some personal FACTS about California being "faster" (more Hip, and quick)
and also Faster and Crazy-driving then
anything I've seen in Dallas OR Houston.

Which, to MY personal experience(s) is TRUE.

I realize that it may just be that "I" and the people I was always around, were the crazy drivers (lol)
and the SPEEDERS.

Some guys posted some Wiki facts about the speed limits on the FREEWAYS,...

Was Bill Gates Right?

Posted 01-21-2014 at 11:27 AM by Fortoggie

Bill Gates, this morning on CBS, said the world is in the best shape or condition that it's ever been in throughout history. While he was waiting to come on camera there were videos of riots and terrorist threats from several places. The videos seem to contradict what he said but I believe the he is right. More babies live beyond 5 years of age [ percentage wise ] than ever before, better seed has been developed and better farming practices mean that more places are feeding themselves. There is...

My Shell

I haven't used any social media in about seven or eight years. While I've had a FB account, it was the ex who would update it with photos and such. Here in the past couple months I've been on and been catching up with old friends who I haven't talked to in such a long time. Recently, through the catching up process, people have asked about my first wife. I've had to explain that she passed away.

Everyone's knee jerk reaction is one of regret for asking something that they assume...

The Snake Handlers

Posted 01-20-2014 at 11:33 AM by Fortoggie

The year was 1951 and I witnessed my first snake handling service. It was on the band box on the court house square. The folks came in from, Dolly Pond over in Hamilton county. There was music and singing and then I noticed wire cages with Rattle Snakes inside. After some preaching, shouting and a whole lot of moving around they began to take the snakes out and let them move around their arms etc. From time to time the snakes would bite them but they survived. However the next year there was one...

Superbowl Bound

AFC Champions for the 2013 season, Denver Broncos. Not the game I anticipated. I expected/hoped it was going to be a closer battle, but Tom Brady did not bring his best game to the Mile High Stadium and the New England defense allowed way to many first downs! As always, you can't discount the ability of the Patriots in the fourth quarter, but it was to little, to late. Peyton Manning orchestrated two drives that took up nearly one whole quarter of the game! Very impressive!! It's hard to keep...
