Posted 01-16-2014 at 06:00 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

I could have just started out with "It was a dark and stormy night...", but you know that's too predictable and too cheesy. Besides, as I write this latest chickenscratch to you for your perusal, it is dark, but it's definitely not stormy.

Ever have an idea for a blog post and forget to write the idea down? Well, have you ever just had the itch to write something and then your fingers meet the keys on the keyboard and...............

Boasting about conquests

Posted 01-15-2014 at 08:10 PM by grumptacular

A thread the other day was posted about why guys boast about their conquests. It really caused me to stop and pause about what I have written and my mind set when I post on the boards. My response, after I thought about it, was that it was a narcissistic, immature ego boost. Stemming from insecurity, and providing me a false sense of confidence. It was a refreshing question, and an honest answer. I hadn't really considered how shallow I had allowed my mindset to become. I scratched at it a...

Kids playing on the street (Tampa Bay / Palm Harbor)

Posted 01-15-2014 at 10:18 AM by mommy2000

I am moving back to FL. I left a great neighborhood (husband doesn't want to go back to that area, too far north) in Lutz, great because there were kids out playing everyday. I want that again. Please list specific neighborhoods for me to look in. I want to be in the Sickles HS district if we go back to Tampa OR the East Lake HS or Palm Harbor HS if we go to that area. I do not want to be in an "empty nester" neighborhood that is starting to turn over…. already turned over is ok....

Playoffs, part two!

Posted 01-13-2014 at 03:29 PM by grumptacular

I wish I was a betting man!

The divisional playoffs turned out as I anticipated.

Colts/Patriots-Decisive victory by Brady and the Pats. Andrew Luck? Only luck he had that day was his name. Too many turn overs. Pats win 43-22. Not much of a contest.

Seahawks/Saints-The game started with nearly monsoon conditions. Almost a guarantee that the Saints passing game would be non-existent. After half time though, the weather calmed and the Saints started...

For A Change, A Good Monday At Work

Posted 01-13-2014 at 02:04 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

Wow! All I can say is "Wow!" Can you imagine a workday that was busy enough with the things that go on, but without too much stress and strain? That would be a perfect Monday, and that, in essence, was my day today at work. While it wasn't completely perfect, for the most part, a lot of things went well.

Wouldn't it be great to have that every Monday?? I think, for a lot of people, certainly. You wouldn't want to trade it...
