Yesterday, I discovered my local library has an account with Zinio that let's you read magazines for free. I've been going crazy reading all different kinds of my favorite magazines in the comfort of my living room.
I have a wide range of interests, from cooking to crafts to social issues and traveling. So, with the rain pouring down today as well, and a cup of my favorite black tea infused with pomegranate, and some lifetime or hallmark movie in the background, I've been reading a lot....

Why do so many people feel a need to associate their posts/comments (or, worse, label other people's posts/comments) as being a "liberal" or "conservative" concern? Worse, why do people think by doing so, they are introducing useful information into the discussion?

How about simply considering the actual merits and/or short-comings that are intrinsic to a topic for a change? When did it become intellectually acceptable (or remotely satisfying) to merely toe-the-party-line...

We had more rain today as the system is fortunately still lingering over this California coast. It was also very cool all day.
Went to the shelter to get a cat for my son, but was told that i needed permission from my apartment manager first. Called my manager and told him since I'd be moving in a couple of months, would it be possible to get a cat without deposit. He said no, and the deposit would be $500 which made it out of the question for me. The ironic thing is that my carpet is so...
