We live in Hawaii part of the year, and I love my curls. All I have to do is wash my hair and let it dry naturally. Then I come back to Colorado and I can't keep curl in my hair. I have to use a lot of product, and even then my hair is a "frizzy-straight" within hours.

The lack of humidity will dry out your hair. I find that I have to be more careful as far as choosing shampoos. I stick to sulfate free (less harsh) and only wash with shampoo every few days instead of daily. I use conditioner every day though. It helps.
