That was Casey Kasem, who, for so many years, made the pop music radio countdown show vogue in American culture. It had been a staple of many of my weekends as a teenager, just wondering what song will finish at the number one spot for that week.

Man, that was so many moons ago, when a thing called "American Top 40" was a household name in radio....

I am doing nothing but typing and trying to gather my thoughts into a somewhat coherent progressive sentence. Sometimes it happens, other times it doesn't.

So, my friends and I are of an ilk. Not surprising; I learned in business school that people cluster on socioeconomic status, race, and gender. Among other shared qualities. Tribalism strikes again.
