No Ethanol

Posted 06-26-2014 at 07:07 PM by Jerry7111

I found a place in Channelview, Texas, on Sheldon Road that sells "Racing Fuel" without the Ethanol. 95 Octane. Today June 26, 2014 is cost me $7 per gallon and is WORTH it since Ethanol has DESTROYED many of my carburetors and messed up many a mower/generator/small engine. ETHANOL FUEL IS CRAP FUEL.
(not for road use but boats, small engines, racing, etc.)

The Government Is Not Our Friend

Posted 06-26-2014 at 03:40 PM by Happy in Wyoming

When I was growing up I believed that I was truly fortunate to have been born in this country. Both the standard of living and the degree of free were extraordinary. I read of the fear people felt for the government in the Soviet Union and the countries it held in thralldom. I never feared the government here. Government agents didn't burst through the front door here killing family pets and dragging adults away into secret and indefinite detention. It didn't happen here because the government...

Posted 06-26-2014 at 03:23 PM by Blondebaerde

The workplace is a dictatorship, not a democracy much less constitutional republic. Great documentary on Netflix about that, at this writing: I don't have the title handy. Due process, manners, etc. are tossed out the window by-fiat. There are marginal checks-and-balances, sometimes none: a dictator (manager) can make lives either lavish or a living hell, for any or no reason.

Story today (6/25) in one of the news sites, probably Fox, about retaliation against a whistleblower in...

Thankful Thursday and 8 Days Until My Birthday

Posted 06-26-2014 at 02:57 PM by jessxwrites89

Happy Thursday, dear readers! Today has been a good day and I'm thankful for that. I am also feeling better, so that's even more of a plus! Today I went into work for a little bit and I'm thankful for the people I work with. They're really keeping their fingers crossed about a job in Michigan and being able to move in the fall after a summer job (hopefully!). I'm glad more people are starting to root for me. I saw a first grade teacher that has been teaching since I was in elementary school. I didn't...

Vacation

Posted 06-26-2014 at 02:18 PM by nooshb

I'm on vacation in El Paso,tx. It's hot,hot here!!
Not much to do!! Visiting family and friends and catching some rays because my town is always cloudy and cool. I don't miss California that much, I think sunny weather agrees with me more than cool weather. My vitamin D levels have been super low, so I'm taking advantage of the sun.
Some shopping, watching movies, resting mostly and getting ready for last few days at my current job when I get back. Then, the big move to Riverside!!...
