Going to the Drive-in movies was a summer ritual for our family when I was growing up. When we saw the old man windexing his windshield on Friday after work we knew it was Drive-in night so we crammed our pillows and blankets into the backseat and off we went. The question of the week --- and possibly the year --- looms largely as I sit one week away from a 30-year high school class reunion. That question is, "How will my classmates turn out?" When we were kids our mom would buy us a bag of those plastic army men for .99 cents at the thrift store. My brother and I would split them up even and position them in the back yard and begin our war. We started out throwing rocks at each other's soldiers but got bored and started picking them off with BB guns. As I settle down to watch tv for a while, my mood gets down. Overwhelmed by all the things I have to do before the move, I feel depressed . But as I got up in the kitchen to get the dough ready for my son's pizza, clean around and make myself a cup of tea, my mood changes instantly!! I swear we humans are built to move around and not be sitting around. At work, I'm the same way. I just look around to see who needs help.

Finishing up my last days at work. Evidently my current boss was so upset at me leaving that he thought I didn't deserve a goodbye party which they give everyone else.
That made me upset for a little bit, but I let it go. I worked hard, kept the worst schedule, never called in sick, was always on time and ready to learn and do everything. He may feel bad about how he treated me later on, but I have no regrets.

Next Saturday is the big day of moving!! I wish I could wink and...
