Thankful Thursday 7/17/2014

Posted 07-17-2014 at 07:43 PM by jessxwrites89

The Green Pea Incident

Posted 07-17-2014 at 07:37 PM by aliasfinn

When we moved from California we stopped at a restaurant in Arizona to eat but there was no table large enough so my parents sat at another table on the other side of the restaurant. Sometimes I do not adapt to change very well at all and this happens to be one of those time.
I'm older and like the older versions of Windows. The touch screen I can deal with on my iPad but the whole Windows 8 thing is beyond my grasp right now it seems....

The Candy Store

Posted 07-16-2014 at 11:07 PM by aliasfinn

Things were cheap in the early 70s but money was hard to come by for a kid 10-12 years old. If there was something we really wanted we would have to wait for Christmas or our birthday. But to have spending money for the important everyday needs such as candy and soda a kid had to use his wits. We would shovel snow in the winter for a couple of bucks a driveway or wear ourselves out pushing lawnmowers all over the neighborhood in order to cut someone's grass for about 2-5 dollars a yard.
