The Ebola Scourge, and Malthusian Realities

Reading about Ebola, and deciding how I feel about it.

Yes, I know: how I "feel about it" means a stone's throw in the ocean. But my thoughts may resonate with yours, or someone else's, so here you go. One layman's opinion.

What bothers me about the current debate is the lack of in-depth analysis. I complain about this often, within C-D blogs: we know what is occurring, yes. We cannot leap to how to solve it, without being abundantly clear on the 'why'....

American English or British English

Posted 09-24-2014 at 01:24 PM by Zeurich

Quiet few times I have seen people make comments about other one's English. I think we need to be sure about what we are talking. So I was doing my own research with my old studies and I have spoken to a professor about this too. I am preparing this blog with help of his notes too.

Well, England has spoken English for just over a 1000 years, in the form of Old English. America, Canada, Australia and South Africa have only about 200 to 300 year history of English speaking people

Altuve Is Going To Be Something Special

Even if the Houston Astros aren't in the playoffs this season (and they won't be), that doesn't mean that there won't be a lot of buzz. Now that the team is past the three worst seasons in franchise history, it's time now to look up. And they have a player this season who has had his best season as a major leaguer and is positioned to be the team leader for years to come. Oh, he's been with them since they were still in the National League in 2011, but he's making a lot more noise...

Let me clarify a bit (RE my earlier post on the subject, which does not seem to sit well with some).

As another person pointed out in this ever-expanding thread, a lot of C-D is matter of perspective. Executives, responding to those just starting out in the working world. Ph.Ds and HS dropouts. High-performers and slackers. Black, White, and every color in between. Americans, Australians, Europeans, etc....
