Land is the root of economic crashes. Commonly created wealth is appropriated by private individuals and concerns.

Community economic community activity soaks into land, crystalizing as land values, the values become higher. If there is a shortage of washing machines at $300 each, makers can make more to maintain the price at $300. If land prices rise in a city centre, because of community activity you can't make more land in the city centre. Land prices are outside normal market...

I wear keyboards out with heavy-handed use.

You can probably buy the keyboard new on eBay for $15-$30 and it takes just a few minutes to install it.
That is your budget play right there.

And, keep it away from the kids....
if the keyboards his problem the op might be able to go out and buy a desktop keyboard and plug it into the usb port on his laptop

Columbus Day 2014

Posted 10-13-2014 at 03:07 PM by Fortoggie

Millions are off work today and banks and schools are closed in celebration of Columbus day. Historically we have chosen a lot of hero's for the wrong reasons and with so much clay in their feet that we wouldn't choose them again if we had of known then what we know now.
I've asked around and most of us grew up assuming that C.C. actually set foot on our shores but the closest he got was Cuba. We have assumed that he must have been a " good " man if the whole nation had a holiday...

No one ever looks at a nun’s face.” – JM Scott

Nuns are a curiosity today. In another time, girls for whatever reasons were given over to convents for a life of prayer or good works. If the candidates were young enough, notions of choice were probably very elastic. Vocations are few in the modern cloister - and few orders of good sisters would tolerate or encourage any coercion by families or sponsors anyway.

Nonetheless, the values in convents appeal to cynics...
