South Florida 2014-2015 "Winter" Thread.

UPDATE!: HIGH OF 68.2 ON 10/9/14. So for the 2014-2015 "winter" here in south florida I wanted to make a thread documenting our lows(30s) (40s) and (50s). As well as our warm lows (70s). I also will include highs in the (40s) (50s) and (60s) as well as those in the (80s) and (90s) I am using statistics from november first untill march 31st. The weather lows and highs will be taken from my (unofficial) backyard weather station in key biscayne fl.

why we should xeriolandscape the city

I believe it is important to xerioscape the city because we are a desert. That means we receive between 10 to 12 inches a yr of rain and sometimes snow. The snow does help;however, it does not come that often promoting the need for more conservation in our wonderful city. Every spring I watch the city was water on frivelous plants like more grass and more water guvaling plants. What insanity from a shear conservation point of view. It is absolutely absurd to see such waste going on when...

Monday ~~ December 8, 2014 ~~ Do you know how forgiving fabric can be?

This may seem like a silly question but it is a valid question. Do you really know how forgiving fabric can be? You can punch holes into fabric with the needle when sewing the pieces together. Then when you discover you have sewn those pieces together the wrong way you can remove the thread and start over. The tiny holes seem to go back to where they started.

You can also fold and crease and iron fabric then later decide you need that piece of fabric for something else. All you have...
