Posted 12-27-2014 at 03:42 PM by coloradohoaforum (Homeowners Associations (HOA))

The article's point person for an opinion on what is best for HOAs and thus HOA home owners is no less than the Community Association Institute (CAI). The problem...

Youtubers and bloggers make the world better

Posted 12-27-2014 at 02:50 PM by Ericthebean

Costs of living, tough job market, loss of mam and pap stores to chain stores, things you never thought could close their doors, shut down
And then you have people getting older, time going by fast, youth fades

But then we have something truly special. People who are youthful and young at heart and just want a lot of love from everyone, post their life events in diary blogs and youtube videos so everyone...

Richard Linklater's Slacker (1991) and Bernie (2011)

Posted 12-27-2014 at 08:29 AM by oeccscclhjhn (I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.)

Richard Linklater sure has an interesting filmography. Slacker is his second film, and his first, It's Impossible to Learn to Plow by Reading Books (1988) is one of the supplements in the Criterion Collection dvd (or Blu-ray). In his commentary he mentions all of the actors are musicians unless otherwise noted. He plays the first character and mentions the first scene is actually a continuation of his first film. Reflecting On How I Started On City-Data

Posted 12-27-2014 at 06:00 AM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

To think it all started so many years ago, but yet, here I am on blog post five hundred and something (which, itself, took all of six years to get to) and, all of a sudden, I'm reflecting once again. Forget that unplanned year-in-review post; I'd just run into a thread allowing City-Data members an opportunity to reflect on how it all began.

Yes, we shared why we have stayed on City-Data, where it's great to be alive. You'll get a lot of interesting responses....

DC-New York-Boston New Years fun

Posted 12-26-2014 at 09:39 PM by Ericthebean

Megabusses and chinatown busses, 24/hour metro-north, MARC train bridging the youth of America's East Coast cities together into the metropolois it was meant to be all the rest of the year.

DC to NY or Phillie to NY or Baltimore or Garden State or Boston and New Haveners
Find a bunch of people and just like tag along. Just say whatever is on your mind. Make people laugh. It's what I like to call the hipster-yuppie-artsy-collegiate polar express to ball drop slumber pathways...
