We are deep into the month of June already, and this morning, coming back from breakfast out, I saw some kids with their backpacks at the entrance to my apartment complex..............waiting for their school bus.

My lands, this has got to be it. It, of course, being the last day of school for a number of North Texans who still haven't gotten out yet. Come Monday, there won't be school kids waiting for buses, and the next time that happens, it'll be late August...

And such will be true this coming Sunday, when yours truly takes to the road to be an Okie for a week. Those fried onion burgers I made at home yesterday were just the beginning, and the real vacation began right after work today.
