Made A Fool of Myself

Posted 10-23-2015 at 08:00 AM by April R (My Emotional Affair)
Updated 10-23-2015 at 11:10 AM by April R

So I've completely embarrassed myself and acted like a fool last night over OG. I messaged him that we needed to talk. A couple hours later, after midnight, he messaged back "when?"

I didn't respond until I think close to 3 am. I was tossing and turning all night. I felt so stupid for contacting OG when I had no clue what I wanted to say to him. I'm afraid he is going to get annoyed with me if he isn't already and just stop talking to me altogether. I messaged him...

He's Never Heard Me Cry

Posted 10-22-2015 at 07:44 PM by April R (My Emotional Affair)
Updated 10-22-2015 at 09:28 PM by April R

I'm crying tonight, in my car in the dark, by myself. I just left a church activity where I was smiling and laughing and putting on a happy face so no one would ask me if I was ok. I can't tell anyone why I was sad and I doubt any of them would understand without judgement anyway.

I have never cried when talking to OG. We've only talked on the phone a couple times and the conversation was always positive and upbeat. I just realized he's never heard me cry, and I've shed so many tears...

Acorns away!

Posted 10-22-2015 at 07:18 PM by hunterseat (Keeping it Kind)

I've heard it said that it's not a good idea to allow your horses to graze on acorns. I had a little oak tree in my Mississippi front yard. It dropped acorns about a half inch across. My horses, quite conspicuously, hung out under that tree in the fall. I knew what they were doing, the buggers. But I always wondered how in the world those acorns could be a problem for horses.

Fast forward several years and many states away, I live in a home surrounded by oak trees. When the acorns...

Rather Depressed Today

Posted 10-22-2015 at 05:16 PM by April R (My Emotional Affair)

OG is taking his conviction to cut back on communication very seriously. So seriously that he will not message me or contact me first. It hurts so much to end up being the one who is going to have to start and maintain any communication between us. I am not going to be able to handle it. I can't feel unimportant to him. I feel like crap right now. My nerves are on edge and I am sick to my stomach over it. I can't tell him any of this because it just makes me look crazy and needy. I don't know how...

Today Is a Good Day

Posted 10-20-2015 at 10:46 AM by April R (My Emotional Affair)

So OG and I have been able to talk and set limitations and boundaries. We have been open and honest with each other about our feelings and our mutual commitment to our marriages and spouses. I realize that my marriage and my husband deserve my attention without my mind and heart being somewhere else all the time. I am assured that OG won't abandon me, so I am free to devote my time to my husband and family.

My hubs has knee surgery on Friday and I need to be there for him 100%. He...
