What defines a Townie?

There is a never-ending debate over what defines a townie in certain towns. Is it that your grandfather’s father had resided in the town? Or is it you have to live in that town for longer than 20 years? I did some research on the definition of being a townie, according to Webster, a townie is any resident that lives in a town where a university also resides and that individual may or may not attend the university. Great News For Saugeen Shores and Area

Hi to everyone!
This is my first post to this blog platform. Being part of the City Data, I would like to concentrate on the area that I live in which is Saugeen Shores and area. More specifically, this area is comprised of Port Elgin, Southampton and Saugeen Township; all located in Ontario, Canada. I am also located close to Owen Sound to the north and Kincardine to the south.

Every year millions of people make New Year's resolutions. I resolved years ago to not make any resolutions on the first unless I had every intention of sticking to it and ultimately trying my best to succeed.

I saw something the other day that said, "I'm going to open a gym called Resolutions. After the 2nd week of January it will become a bar until January 1st of the following year." It was funny, but oh so accurate!

Suburbs of Detroit-Relocating

We are moving to Michigan and need to be within 35 minutes or less to Detroit. We are looking for a city that has good schools, is safe/low crime, and has some trees, nature, and excitement (parks, stores, community center) or at least within 10-15 minutes from them. We can pay up to $2,000 for rent. Any suggestions would be great. I've looked at Canton (seems nice), Rochester Hills, and Flat Rock (can't find to much info) open to information on these cities or others. Just don't want to move to...
