There is a never-ending debate over what defines a townie in certain towns. Is it that your grandfather’s father had resided in the town? Or is it you have to live in that town for longer than 20 years? Every year millions of people make New Year's resolutions. I resolved years ago to not make any resolutions on the first unless I had every intention of sticking to it and ultimately trying my best to succeed.

I saw something the other day that said, "I'm going to open a gym called Resolutions. After the 2nd week of January it will become a bar until January 1st of the following year." It was funny, but oh so accurate!

We are moving to Michigan and need to be within 35 minutes or less to Detroit. We are looking for a city that has good schools, is safe/low crime, and has some trees, nature, and excitement (parks, stores, community center) or at least within 10-15 minutes from them. We can pay up to $2,000 for rent. Any suggestions would be great. I've looked at Canton (seems nice), Rochester Hills, and Flat Rock (can't find to much info) open to information on these cities or others. Just don't want to move to...
