Your First Package

Posted 03-29-2016 at 12:05 AM by aliasfinn

Do you remember the first time you ever got a package delivered in the mail ? I remember mine, I was just a little fart back in the 60s when I sent cereal box tops away for a plastic Woody Woodpecker door knocker. I would ask my mom each day if it came and she would say it's too soon. Days went by and every morning at the breakfast table I would see the Corn Flakes box and start thinking about my missing door knocker. I began to get angry, thinking that the cereal company was trying to pull something,...

Monday ~~ March 28, 2016 ~~ What do you do the day after.....

Posted 03-28-2016 at 08:13 PM by CSD610

What about the day after your birthday, Christmas, New Year's Day, Groundhog Day, the sun came up today day?

We do roughly the same thing no matter what the day before was with a few exceptions. When we go to the annual family gathering the day after the *big* gathering we drive home.

When do you think the day after is? Is it tomorrow, was it yesterday...

As spring warmups near an end, every MLB team is optimistic in thinking that this year will be their year. We'll just find out, so let's take a look at the teams and how I believe they will finish come October, with some hints on the thereafter.

The Following Is A Paid Advertisement

Posted 03-28-2016 at 07:20 PM by aliasfinn

The other night while I was keeping the hours of a hoot owl, I was flipping through the tv channels seeing all that crap they stick on in the wee hours. One was a 30 minute commercial of a fat lady using a new type of skillet that never needs washing, no matter what kind of slop you burn in it all you have to do is wipe it with a paper towel. Another commercial had a skinny lady who used to be the size of the fat lady with the frying pan but lost her weight when she invented a small plastic box...

On: Sports Cars, Mid Life Crisis (Crises? Crysis?)

Porsche makes a marvelous car called the 911. An amusingly coincidental number to Americans for two obvious reasons: one about emergency help, the other a national tragedy from 2001. A number that strikes a bit of alarm, and unease. As a product, though, it evokes one feeling only from those in the know: pure driving...
