Met my Grandmother for the first time. Visited my birth father's memorial for the first time. Saw whales. Participated in a Native American ceremony to the Four Directions. Spent time with friends and family.

That Woman Named IRMA

Posted 09-18-2017 at 12:07 PM by llrivero

So, I wanted to just share my story as a person who went through their first hurricane as a Florida resident... I have been here through other "threats"... and tend to follow the vibe of my husband, who went through Hurricane Charley, and lived to tell me about it. But this crazy storm of a size that no one had ever seen before, made me nervous. The images that were coming across the TV of the spanking Irma was delivering to the Caribbean were horrifying.

Splendid serene, one day lives, red and tragic poets

Still in a mood and not very serene,I'm tired of feeling very little.I am by nature very romantic and impassioned,to be so low wattage due to the damage is just stifling my soul.I think of one day loves and lives were I can write poetry by evening and discuss it with my beloved, where I'll live in Britain in some nestled little village, cook hearty traditional meals and walk country houses again.I miss everything so much.I look at country houses now and just nothing happens, nothing evokes.I have learnt...

3. Current civilization is trader civilization. It is crystal clear fact, only madman will argue this.
Trader is a type of...

Astros Have An Opportunity To Celebrate The Way It Should Be

Posted 09-17-2017 at 08:09 AM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

The real celebrating wouldn't have happened anyway where yesterday was concerned. The Houston Astros, after all, did their part in an afternoon game with an 8-6 win over the Seattle Mariners at Minute Maid Park. All they needed was a Los Angeles Angels loss to the Texas Rangers. It should be noted that the bad thing about the timing of the two games would not lend itself to a proper Houston celebration. If only the Astros had played at night and the Angels earlier that day in Anaheim....
